The International Conference on Diffusion in Materials (DIMAT) is the historical conference about diffusion in solids. DIMAT 2011 will be the 8th DIMAT conference since its creation in 1982. It is a unique opportunity to expose the latest results, assess the relevant issues and share scientific discussion theoretical and applied on diffusion research. Young scientists are especially encouraged to attend the conference and to establish international networks with well known scientists. The Conference will be held from 3rd through 8th July 2011 in Dijon, Burgundy, France under the patronage of the ICB, Université de Bourgogne-CNRS laboratory.
It will be our great pleasure to welcome you in Dijon for exciting scientific and social events. Dijon lies in Bourgogne which is in the very centre of France and is the capital of one of the most famous vineyards in the world. Known as the mustard capital, Dijon is much more. Beyond wine and gastronomic heritage, Dijon is also a charming fifteenth-century city characterized by numerous pedestrian streets lined with shops, cafes and old mansions with glazed-tiles roofs.
